The GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association hosted the 14th Southeastern Nationals at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in October 2007. The three day event had rain on Friday and early Saturday morning but the clouds blew through and those in attendance were treated with sunshine the rest of the weekend.
The hot rod and custom car event included the participant’s favorite track cruise Saturday evening under the lights. This is no sight-seeing tour, as driver’s get a chance to flex a little muscle as their classic vehicles achieve speeds around the triple digit mark on the odometer as they cruise the same super speedway that hosts several NASCAR races each year.
There is always a good deal to be had in the car corral for those who are searching for anything from a winter project to a ready to cruise street machine. The Goodguys Southeastern Nationals is the only Goodguys Rod & Custom Association tour stop in the Carolinas and is definitely worth checking out, either as a spectator or one of the 3,000 participants who cruise to Concord each autumn and fill the infield of Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Carsolina thanks all those who participated in the Goodguys 14th Southeastern Nationals as well as the Goodguys staff who host this event each October.
