Myrtle Beach was oozing with coolness this past weekend as Run to the Sun XX hosted by the Pee Dee Street Rodders made it the spot to be.
The annual three day event attracted rods exhibiting plates from the Carolinas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, and others.
The full spectrum of rods and cruisers covered the parking area near the under construction Hard Rock Theme Park. A vintage Model A, big block Chevy, blown Mustang, supercharged Corvette, and Hemi powered hot rod, all parked within 50 feet of each other made for a spectacular display of chrome, heavy metal, and horsepower.
Maybe the best view was had by the pilots of the fighter jets as they neared to land at the airport. Looking down a few hundred feet at the array of candy, pearl, flakes and flames contrasted by the black primer and suede, would suggest thoughts of scrapping the approach and entering a holding pattern.
Carsolina thanks the Pee Dee Street Rodders who have been putting this incredible event together for 20 years!
