Bash at the Beach Car Show in Shallotte, North Carolina was hosted April 26, 2008 by the home-town car club, the Tri-Beach Cruisers. Held between Wilmington, North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the event staff did a great job at the registration table getting drivers from both states entered in the show.
Bash at the Beach was held at a shopping center surrounded by the usual strip mall selection of stores and restaurants anchored by a Home Depot. This April event was comfortably warm and spectators took time to walk through the display of vehicles before returning to their shopping chores.
Attendance was very respectable and consisted of a variety of automobiles including a number of convertibles and late model vehicles. This weekend offered multiple shows to go to within a short drive, but that fact was fleeting when walking through the collection of muscle cars and hot rods in the show area.
Tri-Beach Cruisers sold event t-shirts, awarded door prizes, and conducted a 50/50 drawing as part of the awards ceremony and trophies were passed out in acknowledgement of the owner’s dedication to their ride. Bash at the Beach included vendor displays with products and services available to the local cruising community.
The Tri-Beach Cruisers also hosted the Spring Fling car show in Wilmington, North Carolina at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet in April and did an outstanding job of putting together two events in the same month. The club has been cruising the coast since 1998 and both shows were supported by members of other area clubs. Carsolina thanks the Tri-Beach Cruisers who know how to put on good show and correctly titled this event.
