Boone Hall Plantation is said to be the most photographed plantation in the entire country. With it’s beautiful grounds and majestic trees and ideal location, it is easy to understand the appeal to photographers. This past weekend was no exception.
However, the subject matter was just a bit different this weekend, although just as impressive. Cripple Dog Hot Rods of Charleston, South Carolina hosted the 2nd Annual Carolina Open Car Classic & Hot Rod Run 2008 at the plantation. The one day event of 2007 expanded to three days for 2008 and attracted even more vehicles this year. Simply put, the event has something for everyone. Live music from several different bands, good food, cool cars, and great people, all in a wonderful location.
Vehicles from all over the southeast were in attendance and represented the styles and trends in hot rods and customs from several decades. With just two years under it’s belt, the Carolina Open Car Classic & Hot Rod Run has already become an annual classic.
Carsolina thanks the staff of Cripple Dog Hot Rods for their hard work on a wonderful event, and a special thanks to all the fine folks who brought out their vehicles to Boone Hall Plantation.
