Thanks for cruising Carsolina.com. I agree that the Poplar Grove Plantation is a great site for a classic car show. I attended the 2008 event as a spectator and enjoyed the day, even with a thunderstorm passing through mid-morning during the show. I reciently attended the Poplar Grove car show and this is what I experienced. The area is a wonderful site for a show, and the shade trees are great. I drove a little over 100 miles to get there and paid my entry fee so my car could be judged. I watched from a distance while the judges came to check my car. This was a disappointment for me because they did not even walk around my car or look inside it. They made a few marks on some paper, and moved on to the next one. This is when it became apparent to me that they had already made their choice, and so I ask why spend your money for this type of reconition for the hard work one has done to produce a car they are proud of? I have emailed them twice but they have not taken the time to respond back to me.

Hi all ! Is there anyway you can send me updated messages pertaining to any and all car shows within a 50 mile radius of Wilmington zip. 28409 ? I’d really appreciate it as I’ve missed so many this year and the newspaper doesn’t give coverage all the time . Looking forward to hearing from yas . Joseph
Currently my cruise-in first saturday of every month is on hold due to fire at resturant. I’ll let you know once it gets back on track.
