Parents, coaches, boosters, and players of the West Brunswick High School Lady Trojans Softball Team in Shallotte, North Carolina held their first Open Car & Truck Show March 7, 2009. The weather could not been any better. With temperatures in the low 40′s and rain across the area the previous weekend, the blue sky, sun shine, and temperatures in the mid-70′s attracted vehicles from as far away as Virginia who left the snow behind.
The show was organized by coaches, boosters, parents, and players. All did a great job pulling together and putting on their first show. Over one hundred, twenty-five vehicles participated in the inaugural event held in the main high school parking lot. Raffles and a 50/50 prize were giving away. At the end of the show seventy-eight trophies and a one-hundred dollar cash award to the club with the most registered participants.
Parents, friends, and players staffed the registration table and operated the concession trailer through out the day. The show was a home run and raised money for the softball team while folks had a reason to display their vehicles for others to enjoy.
Carsolina applauds the effort and dedication of all those who donated their resources to put this show on and thanks all who participated in the 1st WBHS Lady Trojans Softball Open Car & Truck Show.
