Cape Fear Chapter hosts 37th Annual AACA Show

Cape Fear Chapter AACA April 2009 Wilmington, NC The Cape Fear Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America hosted its Annual Spring Show for the 37th time and had the largest number of vehicles yet. Breaking the previous car count record set in 2008, the recent display of vehicles was exceptional.

Original, restored stock, modified, custom, street rod, hot rod, and daily driver vehicles produced smiles on the faces of people during the day. Last year Ed sitting on a temporary seat made from 2″x2″s nailed together on the floor pan, drove his work in progress DeSoto to the 36th edition. This year, Ed sitting on a plush covered seat, returned with his ’33 completed.

Cape Fear Chapter AACA April 2009 Wilmington, NC Members of the Cape Fear Chapter provided a hospitality trailer for staff and participants offering shade, donuts, and ice cold drinks. This show truly has something for everyone, from an original that has never been altered, to a dressed up big block dripping with chrome stuffed in a sleeper. The event is growing larger every year and momentum is firing on all cylinders.

Carsolina applauds the efforts of the members of the Cape Fear Chapter of the AACA and thanks all those who participated in the 37th Annual Event.
