December 12, 2009 marked the 2nd Annual Northwood Charity Car, Truck, & Motorcycle Show in Whiteville, North Carolina.
The mid-December day was cold and cloudy but it remained dry for the event. The show was supported with vehicle displays by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department and a local Dodge Dealership.
For those that attended the 1st Annual Northwood Charity Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show in 2008, there were some familiar vehicles that returned for the 2009 edition. One such vehicle was a rare 1941 Ford Panel Delivery belonging to Joe of Whiteville, NC. Joe is entertaining the idea of selling it to persue a 1950 Mercury that has caught his eye.
The event lured a few motorcycle owners to brave the low temperatures and ride to the show. A patriotic Indian Motorcycle dressed with fringed bags and wide-white tires was turning heads. The show concluded with an award ceremony. Carsolina thanks the Northwood Assembly for their dedication and hardwork that went into putting together their 2nd Annual Car Show. The Northwood 3rd Annual Charity Auto Show is scheduled for December 11, 2010.

I had to do a double take on the Red Coupe or as most say the “ZZ TOP” car. I had a friend, or DAD had a close friend that had a car exactly like that. Interior and all. I really liked that car and loved him more because he let me drive his brand new Corvette of the time (oh yeah) He has since moved away but I will always remember that car and that night I cruised the city in a NICE ‘Vette!
