Mark has added another restoration project to his stable in the form of a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
As with his current project, a 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Mark will be sending in pictures and updates to Drain Pan. Mark had one of these and did a little bit of drag racing back in the day. Mark received delivery of this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 last week and took these pictures of the vehicle in the current condition as soon as he rolled it off the transporter from Michigan.
Knowing Mark and his attention to detail, this should be one sweet ride when he’s finished.
March 2, 2010 – “I dug out the only picture I still have of my old Mach 1 taken in 1982. When I bought it, it was a stock 351C 2V with a C6 tranmission and a standard rear end with 2:73 gears.”
“When I got done, it was a 351C 4V .030″ over, Holley 750 cfm duel feed carburetor, Doug Thorley headers with torpedo mufflers, C6 transmission with racing shaft, extra clutches, torque converter, Posi with 4:10 gears, N50/15 tires on Cragar 10″ x 15″ on the rear, and E60/14 tires on Cragar 7″ x 14″ on the front. My friends said it looked like a Massey Ferguson (farm boy joke) but cruisers and racers just said Daaaaaaam. Boy did we have fun.” – Mark
