July Tuesday Is Cruiseday Cruise In

With showers popping up all around the area, some participants drove through rain on their way to the second Tuesday Is Cruiseday prsented by Carsolina.com Cruise-In in Leland, NC where about 40 classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods cruised on out, including David, accompanied by his daughter, who debut his radical 1918 Dodge Brothers Roadster.

2010 Goodguys Nationals Cruise To Columbus

In 2001, the Goodguys gave each participant of their Ya Gotta Drive ‘Em Tour a dash plaque with the words, “All Roads Lead To Columbus.” I haven’t heard anyone disputing this fact, and thousands of hot rodders, street rodders, and automotive enthusiast found this to be true as they cruised to Columbus for the 13th Goodguys Nationals this past weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

North Carolina Blueberry Festival Car Show

The NC Blueberry Festival was held June 19, 2010 in Burgaw, North Carolina. A car, truck, and motorcycle show was one of the main attractions of the 7th annual celebration of blueberries in Pender County. This 1963 Chevrolet pickup truck cruised in from Hapstead, NC, and was one of the many cool rides on display in the streets of historic downtown Burgaw.

1st Tuesday Is Cruiseday

Tuesday, June 29, 2010 was hot with temperatures in the mid 90′s in the afternoon with a threat of thunderstorms in the area. The 1st Tuesday Is Cruiseday Cruise-In presented by Carsolina.com was scheduled to start at 5pm however some cars arrived well before the official start time. Bubba cruised his orange and white big block Chevrolet El Camino SS in from Winnebow, North Carolina and was set up by 3pm. It wasn’t long after that muscle cars, street rods, vintage and classic automobiles of all variety started to fill the parking lot of the Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q in Leland, North Carolina for the 1st Tuesday Is Cruiseday Cruise-In presented by Carsolina.com.

Colonial Capital Rods and Classics Cruise In

New Bern, North Carolina is the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola. The soft drink was invented in 1898 in a pharmacy by Caleb Bradham. Eighty-seven years later, New Bern also became the home of Colonial Capital Rods and Classics, a car club founded in 1985.

Ruth’s “dream of several years” came true Saturday, June 19, 2010 when her parents, Clyde and Dorothy, celebrated their 57th Anniversary during a classic car cruise-in at Grill ’57 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Spring Toy Run Rumbles To Holden Beach

A few minutes before one o’clock on June 5, 2010, a rumble could be heard near the bridge in Holden Beach, North Carolina. Escorted by Brunswick County Sheriff’s Deputies, a caravan of classic cars, performance machines, and motorcycle riders, cruised across the bridge completing the Spring Toy Run organized by Brunswick County Motorcycle Enthusiasts.

Port City Mopars Cruise Back To The Battleship

Mopar was strongly represented with the names of Roadrunner, GTX, Cuda, Charger, and Polara. Names that earned legendary status flexing muscle at quarter-mile tracks all over the country. Big block engines, 4-speed shifters, and dual exhausts were on display at the car show.

Grill ’57 May Cruise-In

One of the very cool rides that attended the cruise-in was a hit with kids and kids at heart. The black hot rod had a box of sidewalk chalk in front of the tire and an invitation for people to leave their mark.
