“My husband bought it because I already had my car,” Sheri stated. “I have a 1964 Chevy II Nova and he wanted a car too so he picked this one up. Today he went fishing so I got to pick between the Chevy Chevelle and the Chevy Nova as to which one to bring to the show.”

Merry Christmas and Happy HotRodDays

Linda’s 1935 Hudson Terraplane Coupe
The man asked Linda “This is a Terraplane isn’t it?”
After his inclination was confirmed he replied, “Is this by chance the car that belonged to the guys that worked on the dairy farm?”
Linda answered, “Yes it is.”
“I have put many a bag of groceries in that car when I was a teenager,” the man declared.
Linda laughed and responded, “Well, there won’t be any groceries delivered in it now.”

“He took six hundred bucks for it”, Corey exclaimed. The seller informed Keith that he could never get the 1966 Pontiac GTO running, but that didn’t discourage Keith and his son Corey from taking it home and begin wrenching on it.

We had just put all the chrome back on it. We were getting ready to detail it to go to York and my Grandfather was backing it out of the garage. His driveway is a big hook and when he backed it out he swung it too tight and almost ripped the front left fender off the car.

Larry doesn’t plan on making the same mistake again. “This car, that’s the old story. Everyone’s got one that got away. I’ve got a couple a let get away I wish I had back, but I got this one back. I won’t be buried in it, but let’s put it this way, someone will have to wait till I die to enjoy it.”
Capital City Cruisers 3rd Annual Car Show
The Capital City Cruisers Car Club hosted their 3rd Annual Car Show on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Grand Strand Pizza and Subs in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show had some very nice vehicles despite the gloomy weather.

The white on red Impala SS was built the fifth week in July of 1962 and was purchased by Wes August 7, 1962 from Sanlee Chevrolet in Sanford, North Carolina. After 39.8 years of the car being in hibernation, the original purchaser of this Impala SS is still the owner today.
