Hot Nights & Cool Rides In Forest City, North Carolina
Whether it’s the fountain in the middle of Main Street, or the people who greet you along the way, this western North Carolina town is very inviting. Also home to Forest City is the Hot Nights and Cool Rides Car Show. August 15, 2009 was the 18th edition of this annual event. Downtown was blocked off and antique automobiles, street rods, hot rods, and vintage vehicles lined every curb space available for the day long show.

That’s when Bob King, the owner of the local ACE store parks his 1942 Ford Panel out by the road with a banner on it inviting everyone to the cruise-in.
